The Rowan Men’s D2 ice hockey team (2-0) takes on the University of Delaware (0-0) tonight in their home opener at 7:30 p.m.
Coming into the game tonight, Rowan has won both of their games by more than 3 goals, with an 8-3 victory over Millersville and a 6-3 against Saint Joseph’s.
Last season, these two teams faced off against each other three separate times, going 1-1-1 with a shootout loss where the Profs outshot Delaware 50 to 16.
Zander Robinson is coming off a spectacular game, as he scored 2 goals in last night’s contest against Saint Joseph’s, which earned him the player of the game.
Freshman Lucas Riccardi has been on a heater as well, with four points in 2 games.
In the first matchup against Millersville, Riccardi notched two goals with an assist, and in the next game, he assisted freshman Riley Cappeci in the third period.
Freshman Jake McCloud is another freshman who has had a hot start to the season, as he also joins Riccardi with four points, with a goal and three assists.
Rowan looks to continue their hot two-game start to the season with a win tonight that will conclude this week’s set of games.
